Crystal swap, Omega 1945, low profile crystal. I really like the below watch. I would have liked it perfectly enough with its existing crystal, but a friend was able to find a 'low profile' lentiform Lentile Tru-Seal watch crystal to fit exactly. Below are some 'before and after' pictures. The crystal which was fitted to the watch when I bought it had typical rounded or 'raised up' edges. The new crystal sloped gently from the center with no 'drop off' at the edge. The result is a much more pleasing appearance to the edges of the dial of the watch, and over all more sleek appearance. I like it a lot. |
